A LOCK is JSON of vectors, not a checkpoint.

Sub-megabyte. Portable across laptop and Orin. The runtime must match the recorded embed and detect models, or it refuses. Year-1 adds a signature so a PED cell can trust origin.

Runtime

Propose. Embed. Match. Gate. Track.

Detect is Grounding DINO or NanoOWL. Embed is DINOv2. Both stay on the Apache-2.0 product path. DINOv3 and SAM 2/3 are not in the product. Ultralytics AGPL is not in the product.

Detect: Grounding DINO or NanoOWL proposes boxes from text or a vehicle vocabulary.
Embed: Frozen DINOv2 turns each crop into a unit vector. No fine-tune.
Match: Cosine against LOCK prototypes. Hard negatives knock out the obvious fails.
Gate: Conformal threshold after a local labeled set. Absent that, cosine is the score.
Track: Keep identity on the stream. Overlay and JSON out. Later, CoT / TAK.

Claims

Cosine is the runtime score.

Precision, recall, and F1 are only claimed on a labeled set from the same sensor and weather. A conformal bound is briefable after calibration on exchangeable frames. Recalibrate on domain shift.

Not a COP. Not Palantir. Not “trained in seconds.” We sell a query kernel and a protocol. Integrators keep the common operating picture. We bolt on.
